Twelve impact innovations were selected to join the Esplanade climate action super cohort.
During this five-month program , participating teams will work with our coaches and experts on the deployment of their innovation. Objectives include preparing for investment, defining a social and environmental impact measure and implementing a strategy to maximize positive impact.
The organizations (start-ups, cooperatives, intrapreneurship projects) in the climate action super cohort were selected for the complementarity of their solutions and their ability to have a strong potential for impact on the various objectives of the Montreal Climate Plan , which targets carbon neutrality by 2050, namely:
mobilize the Montreal population
accelerate the adoption of more sustainable modes of transport
reduce the use of fossil fuels in buildings
green our living environments
reduce food waste and promote the circular economy
Thus, the diversity of the selected projects has the potential to create real systemic changes, which constitutes one of the pillars of our mission at the Esplanade.
This cohort was launched in partnership with Cycle Momentum , Rhizome , the City of Montreal , SecondMuse , the Greater Montreal Climate Fund and Elements Financial, with the support of TD Bank Group .
